The data reveals that the average insured trip cost for U.S. travellers has risen by thirteen percent compared to the same period in 2024. This increase reflects not only inflationary pressures but also a growing willingness among travellers to invest more in quality trips. Alongside higher spending, IMG observed a remarkable surge in travel protection plan purchases—up more than twenty percent from last summer—signaling heightened awareness of travel risks and the value of insurance coverage.
