Emirates Expands Its Presence in Switzerland with the Grand Opening of Its First Travel Store in Geneva

Accommodation Dubai introduces

Emirates, recognized as the world’s largest international airline, has officially inaugurated its first-ever physical Travel Store in Switzerland, situated in the prestigious shopping district of Rue du Rhône in Geneva. This landmark opening signifies a major step in Emirates’ strategic investment and commitment to the Swiss market—an essential hub within Europe’s aviation landscape—and aims to further elevate the travel experience for Swiss customers.

A New Flagship Experience for Swiss Travelers

Covering a generous area of 134 square metres, the Emirates Travel Store in Geneva was unveiled on May twentieth, 2025. The opening ceremony was attended by senior executives from Emirates including Adnan Kazim, Deputy President and Chief Commercial Officer, alongside notable dignitaries such as the Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates to the Swiss Confederation, H.E. Dr. Hissa Abdulla Ahmed Al-Otaiba, and the Consul General of the UAE in Geneva, H.E. Jasim Alabdouli. The event also brought together leaders from the Geneva Chamber of Commerce and Geneva Airport, plus esteemed trade partners and media representatives, underscoring the importance of this launch for the region.

Designed to marry innovation with premium service, the store provides a refined and welcoming environment that reflects Emirates’ luxury brand ethos. Visitors are greeted by an elegantly furnished lounge area with soft beige seating and modern décor, cultivating a relaxed atmosphere where customers can receive personal travel consultations. This physical space complements Emirates’ existing digital platforms, offering a tactile, interactive dimension to travel planning rarely found in the airline industry.

Comprehensive Personalized Services Under One Roof

At the core of the Travel Store’s concept is a commitment to tailored customer service. Three dedicated consultation counters are staffed by highly trained Emirates travel experts, ready to assist guests with flight bookings, itinerary planning, and information on the latest airline promotions and new destinations. This personalized approach ensures every visitor experiences Emirates’ hallmark hospitality—meticulous attention to detail combined with seamless service delivery.

The store also features a range of interactive technology designed to engage and inform customers. A large LED screen showcases Emirates’ extensive global network, latest offers, and inspiring destination highlights. Meanwhile, a self-service kiosk facilitates independent flight searches and bookings. One of the store’s most popular attractions is a voice-activated selfie screen, where visitors can take photographs against virtual backdrops depicting some of the most iconic locations served by Emirates. These digital images are conveniently shared via QR codes, eliminating paper waste and enhancing the customer’s social sharing experience.

A permanent display of Emirates’ Business Class seat offers guests an immersive preview of the airline’s acclaimed onboard comfort, allowing potential travellers to experience firsthand the spaciousness and innovative design of this premium product.

Strategically Enhancing Emirates’ Swiss Operations

Emirates operates two daily flights from both Zurich and Geneva airports, providing vital connectivity between Switzerland and Dubai, and beyond to over 140 destinations spanning six continents. The airline serves a diverse clientele comprising leisure travelers, business professionals, and those visiting friends and family.

In a pioneering move on August eleventh, 2024, Geneva became the first destination globally to receive Emirates’ modernized Boeing 777 aircraft configured with a four-class cabin layout, including the new Business Class featuring a 1-2-1 seating arrangement. This upgrade also introduced Emirates’ Premium Economy cabin to Continental Europe, enhancing the travel options available to Swiss customers.

This new Travel Store underlines Emirates’ long-term commitment to Switzerland and its growing customer base, combining personalized service, cutting-edge technology, and brand immersion in a convenient and accessible city centre location.

Looking Ahead: Emirates’ Vision for Switzerland and Europe

The launch of the Geneva Travel Store is a clear signal that Emirates is focused on deepening its footprint within Switzerland and strengthening ties with European travelers. By blending sophisticated retail space with the airline’s globally recognized hospitality, Emirates is redefining how airlines connect with customers beyond the airport terminal.

This store not only facilitates a smoother booking process but also serves as an experiential hub, showcasing Emirates’ extensive network and innovative products. As the airline continues to invest in Swiss routes and customer engagement, travelers in Switzerland will benefit from enhanced accessibility to Emirates’ world-class services, inspiring travel adventures across the globe.

The Emirates Travel Store in Geneva is open Monday through Friday from 10:00 AM to 6:30 PM and Saturdays from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM, inviting Swiss travelers to explore, plan, and elevate their next journey with Emirates’ signature luxury and personalized care.
